Based on Konami's 1982 arcade game, Tutankham is a fun translation of the original, but with a few flaws. Gameplay is solid, the graphics are colorful and nicely textured, and there is very little flashing when compared to certain other ColecoVision games. However, the scanner showing an overview of the playfield is missing, and the scrolling is horribly jerky. In addition, the controls aren't as responsive and have been reduced for home play as the two joysticks and one button setup has been replaced by one joystick and two buttons. The music and sound effects have been scaled down as well. Still, the game remains a challenge and a good addition to the ColecoVision library.
