Undoubtedly not just the best beat em up on the 3do ,but the best beat em up ever invented. Trust me I got every game console from atari 2600 to xbox one ,and I got fighting games on every system. This game has the humour that the others lack. Yes mortal kombat on the snes is great and killer instinct too ,and mace on the n64 ,and street fighter. Yes all good...but there's something about way of the warrior that really satisfies. It's the humour and the characters. From biker chicks to dragon type creatures ,from Aussie crocodile dundee clones to Bruce Lee wannabes, they all have personalities that will entertain ,and catch phrases too like..."my dead grandfather fights better than you" !!!. This game is 3do only and is a must have. I was lucky with my purchase ,but it's well worth 20 bux if you have too !!!. I love this game so much I have 2 originals and 1 back up copy too !!!. Way of the Warrior was released in 1994 on the 3DO. It's a poor attempt by Naughty Dog (creators of Crash Bandicoot) to make a MK clone since it was not released for the console. This game is by no means even trying to be a quality fighting game. First off you have a cast of mundane characters with names like Dragon and Nikki Chan (Jackie Chan's sister?) to select, although who could forget gender confused Konotori with a lisp who wears a Raiden hat with Kitana's fans. Next comes the fighting (or lack of) in the game with some of the worst animation (see Dragon's goofy win pose) in the genre to this very day. The characters move so slow when performing a simple jump you will float in the air for a few seconds. The A.I. in the game is a joke making it impossible to have a fair fight based on any type of skill. The main positive I hear people mention is the music which I highly disagree with! I think it was lazy to have no original soundtrack, instead recycled songs from a White Zombie CD (at least it's not rap) that would appeal to nu-metal fans. The sound effects are equally bad with everything from chicken noises, bells, and horrible dialogue that would have Roger Corman & Lloyd Kaufman laughing out loud to this fun cheesy game. Still the background / stage fatalities (minus The Cliff) are some of the best in a fighting game! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cnhYQftfRU&spfreload=10Read full review
Best part of this game is the White Zombie soundtrack. The animation is clunky and the characters are very cheesy, but it has it's own charm. When I owned this game when it first came out I had no idea who White Zombie was. Since this game I have been a fan.

Awesome game. Lots of moves, fatalities. I love it because they use real human actors, the voice talent is great, funny , and over the top. White Zombie soundtrack is also awesome. This game has itโs own flavor, campy nostalgic feel that works so well. I still play the heck out of this game. Find the way Warrior.

This game is very challenging. It's not as easy as you might think it is because it's an older game. The graphics are very good and it is easy to set up, how you want to play and what character you want to be. I am still learning how to do the finishing moves. I like it better than Mortal Kombat.
