Namco's pep-filled cheerleading series returns with new dance moves, new characters, and an all-new soundtrack full of licensed hit songs in We Cheer 2. Players once again treat their Wii Remotes as pom-poms, waving their arms and kicking their feet as they mimic color-coded onscreen prompts. Gamers can customize the physical attributes and appearances of more than 40 male and female characters, and as the avatars compete they help players earn points to unlock new stages, songs, and outfits.
The "Training" mode helps players master new routines, "Exercise" mode is designed to help gamers burn calories, and "Championship" mode finds players guiding their squad through a series of competitions in hopes of winning a cheerleading title. Those looking for multiplayer action can join up to three friends for head-to-head competition.
My 7 year old daughter loves this game! There is so much more to do than there is on the All-Star Cheer Squad game. I had read the reviews regarding the language in the songs and figured that was why it was rated 10+. I told my daughter if I heard any bad words in a song she just wouldn't be able to play that one. She loves that she earns $ that she can spend on clothes and stuff for her cheerleader and there are more ways to customize your person. I like that you can use two remotes instead of having to use the nunchuk(cord is too short to be able to move your arms properly). I did one of the training workouts which involves both arm and leg movements and really worked up a sweat and it was so much fun! It was a better allover workout than any of the wii fit plus activities, and you get to see a chubby guy become thin--too funny!. Lots of hip songs to choose from. My daughter plays it every day and even my 11 year old son has tried it. This is one of the best Wii games we have purchased.Read full review
This game is great for kids of any age, as no buttons need to be pushed to do the routine. There is a long song list as well as different difficulty levels. If you're considering a cheer or dance game, this is a great one to purchase!
I like the 3 skill levels compared to just two (easy and hard) of the first We Cheer. The cheer store is fun and I like that I get to pick the outfits I want to buy. There are plenty of songs to choose from. Overall this game is just as fun as the first We Cheer with more options and songs to choose from. Love it! :)
