The gameplay might be confusing/odd to watch, but it's def worth giving it a shot! I found myself getting addicted to this game after playing it a couple of times. You can turn into so many different things which have different abilities, that the game never seems stale. The boss fights are surprisingly challenging, which makes the game more intense and fun. Would recommend buying this game and giving it a shot, especially if you are a collector!!

I bought this game because of the weirdness factor of it. As you can see, this games is about a cube/beast who must attack and eat other beasts in order to grow physically and mentally. By doing so, you (the cube) can mutate into any of the beasts that you devour and thus acquiring their abilities. Also, when you mutate, you eat a beast's color which gives you a different ability bases on the contrast of the color-pale, paledark, and dark. It's fun trying to mutate into all the different types of beast that are available and doing so in a world completely surrounded by "wilderness" gives the game a fresh feeling; a sort of connection to the basic instincts of the wild: something that we as humans can see in ourselves as well. The music in this game is just beautiful. You will see from the moment you press start that this game will bring you on a journey throughout life that you've probably never experienced before. I love Cubivore, the music, the graphics, the puns, everything. If you like action/adventure types of games filled with hilarity and bizarreness, pick this game up. I'm sure you'll come to love it too.Read full review
This game really surprized me. I bought it because I love strange games, and when it finally arrived, I played it for about three hours and put it on the shelf. It sat on the shelf for about a month, as I'm in the middle of too many games as it is, until I had a day off this past Monday. I put the game in and played it for ten horus straight. Once I understood that the colors you eat affects how you evolve and the differences between the colors, I was hooked. Blue cubes take the form of snake and caterpillar creatures while red ones are more towards flying. The grey cubes are my favorite, and have the best attack and decent speed. They resemble a fawn of sorts. This game is reccomended for anybody who likes to play odd games unlike anything they've ever played before. Eat, evolve, eat, mate, and be reborn! A welcomed addition to any collection.Read full review
Cubivore: Survival of the Fittest for GameCube is one of the very few games that keep my 11 year olds attention more than 10 minutes. It a great game for kids of all ages, no blood & gore, no killing or stealing and no GUNS, just fun shaped animals (at least I think they're animals, very cute anyway) and bright colors, my son has played this game every day since its arrived & I don't see this one becoming boring too fast, & ending up on the shelf with all the other hundreds+ of Nintendo, PS1, PS2 & PS3 games, collecting dust after only a few days. I am happy that he found something he really likes for a change!! GREAT GAME!!
Arrived safe and sound, game works great too. No issues.
