First of all, this game is a work in progress. If you are looking for a game with a phenomenal story with great character development or tons of exposition then Destiny is not the game for you. If you are, however looking for a great competitive multiplayer experience and a beautiful game that has incredible potential for future updates, then give this game a go. If you are on the edge about buying this game, I would not recommend buying the collector's edition or even the guardian edition which includes the first two expansions to the destiny story. If that is the case for you I would rent the game from Redbox or Gamefly and try it out for a week rather than dropping 60-200 dollars on this game. The Ghost Edition is essentially the collector’s edition of Destiny and it features a large yet box containing a Ghost and an assortment of postcards, a patch, a map, a book, and stickers and of course the game Destiny. As far as the features of this collector’s edition go, I was slightly disappointed when I actually got my hands on everything. There is a lot of pointless "artifacts" that came along with this edition. I would have rather gotten a more extensive art book or a game soundtrack, instead of a few random sheets of cardstock and a sticker. The "Ghost" is the main point of buying this edition over the standard or Guardian edition. The Ghost is about 4x4x4inches and is quite heavy for its size. It has lights on the front that animate the thing and when in voice mode it plays recordings of Peter Dinklage's voice. He doesn't have much to say other than mocking your room and insisting that he will not to go back into the box you got him from. The ghost is quite sturdy and well made (it comes with its own charger so that it won't run out of battery)but even then I wouldn't recommend dropping it. The various sheets of paper found in the guardian folio are uninteresting and mostly written in Russian. The arms and armaments notebook is a cool variation of the classic art book as it features some of the weapons from the game as well as concept sketches of the various armors and enemies you will find in the game. Aside from the Ghost itself there were a only a few pieces of the Ghost Edition that I actually liked. Mainly being the steelbook for the game and the star map. Both of these were well done as they were quite sleek and elegant. Much like the steelbook, I also thought the box was very well done. It was simple, but very strong looking and feeling. It is made of paper and has the destiny logos one either side. Overall, the box was sadly one of the most breathtaking parts of the ghost edition. In conclusion, the Destiny Ghost Edition is a mirror image of the game that is included inside of it: highly polished and hyped up, but has very little memorable contents. The Ghost Edition was well made but is lacking a spark that makes the game and the Ghost Edition memorable. It feels quite similar to the game where rather than adding on content; they simply used as little material and then polished it to a high gloss until people were dying to buy it. Unlike the game, however, the Ghost Edition will not be constantly patched and updated for the next 5-1o years until the community is satisfied with the final outcome. All in all I could live without this Edition of the game but I will still give the Ghost Edition 4/5 stars because the main features: the Ghost, the map, and the steelbook are all cool.Read full review
The Ghost Edition is a worthy purchase if you really love the game. The Ghost replica that comes with it is pretty cool. It is life size and and has flashing lights and voice and sounds that are taken straight from the game. There are some neat extras, but nothing else that really stands out. I was disappointed that the exclusive digital content is the same as if you bought the cheaper exclusive edition that does not contain the statue. I felt there should have been some extra content exlusive to this edition. The shipping boxes are notorious for breaking at the seams, as was mine, but it doesn't take much away from the visual appeal for me (which isn't great anyway). All in all, a great set if you are already a big fan of the game. If you don't absolutely love the game, it probably would not appeal very much to you.Read full review
I have waited almost 3 yrs to get this version of Destiny. I couldn't be happier with the contents. It arrived before it was originally estimated. Thank you for helping me get one more piece to my Destiny collection.

The box was a little ripped as stated in the product description. But the contents inside were practically untouched! 10/10 purchase.

Badass game. Badass collector's edition. Comes with both expansion packs so you can play the game as intended beginning today. Ghost is really cool (although you will get tired of Robo-Dink's one liners pretty fast... keep it on the light only setting) and seems well built, the maps, booklets, etc are all slick and well thought out.
