entry level game for young teens to get them to read and not know there doing it. controls are simple and easy to use. there is voice acting at times so it speeds up dialogue scenes. my 9 year old has really been able to play this without constant help.

Its fun but I'd say the main story seems a bit padded. Also the game can be quite tedious with multiple classes for the main heroes and proficiency leveling for everyone but the dlc characters. If they made a DQ Heroes 3 I'd give it a try.

Very happy with the game love the art design, love that you can switch party members and the AI knows how to fight still, more games need to glean from games like this instead of giving us trash games like fallout, cod, skyrim, last of us, etc... We need more rpgs that are 3rd person. I would recommend this game it's solid and fun!

I loved Dragon Quest 8 and am happy to encounter some of my all time favorite video game characters again. I haven't played through the entire game yet, but so far I have no complaints.
