Well I decided to buy this game because I needed something to play on my PS2 - I loved the Gundam anime series and I had played, minimally, some of the Dynasty Warriors games. I have to say this is the way all of the Dynasty Warriors games should have been! I mean giant robots whooping on each other in mass combat using rifles, beam swords, funnels, Giant Mobile Suits....What could be better? The game is very very involved and revolves around all of the core Gundam series with tons and tons of playable Mobile Suits. My personal favorites are (after playing over 100 hours) Hyaku Shiki, Musha Gundam Mk. II, Nu Gundam, Sazabi, Burning Gundam, dang I could list about 12 more favorites! See what I mean - about 16 favorites and still tons more playable suits! Not to mention when you combine all of the playable suits with all of the playable characters you have virtually 1000's of combinations! For the price, this game was an EXCELLENT BUY and I have certainly gotten my Money's worth - (more hours invested so far than some games I spent $60 on) Here's hoping they make a Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3!Read full review
This is pretty much a button mashing paradise. However, combat seems pretty sluggish until your character levels up. Graphics are top notch PS2 graphics. Gundam fans will appreciate this in general. Could they not have put in some of the original BGM and themes from the animes'? Really. C'mon. No network mode or anything. I must admit I was expecting something a little more fluid. Comparable to Sengoku Basara (Devil Kings)by Capcom, but not a big deal. I'm easy! This is better than the X-Play and general gamer reviews would have you believe. Overall, a solid effort, but waiting for PS3 Gundam Battlefield Record UC 0081. And waiting to get a PS3, which is why I picked up GM2! :-P
Hi I bought this game after searching on the web ,it didn't get the best reveiws on game web sites .After playing this game it was redeamed as great ,graphics are a 9 out of 10 ps3 version would be the best,sound is exellent and most important is the play and power ups to each suit in my opinoin that makes the game from repetive boring to very interesting. I love gundam games and this you jump in and just play, if your a mech fan of the gundam series this one has it all characters,suits and storyline thats super cool! I rate this game to my top favorites.
One of the best Gundam game....heck best mecha games I've ever played. The graphics are phenomenal. The controls are user friendly. Its a great game all around. I thouroughly recommend it!
