Product Information

Swarms of giant insects have overrun the futuristic city of New Detroit in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. As a member of the elite Earth Defense Force, you must eradicate the creepy crawlies using whatever force is deemed necessary -- even if it means destroying the city itself. Up to three players can work together as a team online as they improve their firepower and defense by purchasing or earning various weapons and armor upgrades over time.

More than 300 weapons are included in total, ranging from assault rifles and rocket launchers to sniper rifles and grenade launchers. Also included is a six-player survival mode that has you defending yourselves against progressively challenging waves of insects for as long as possible.

Well worth the money. It will keep you busy for hours.
So, if you are a fan of the first Earth Defense Force, you are going to love this game. New weapons, challenges, "monsters", and much better graphics. Game play is very smooth. If you go down, computer players can revive you, as well as you revive computer players. There is a new reload feature, if you hit the x button exactly half way through the reload process, you will be full reloaded. Hit the x button too early or late, and it takes longer to reload. It does take some time to master the reload, you just have to have good timing and a quick finger. The game supports two player split screen, you can play three player campaign modes online, and six player survival mode online. There are 4 upgradeable armors and over 300 weapons. You're going to love this game!

Fun arcade shooter style game, best played with a friend
This sequel is definitely fun and great to play with a friend. It is not time consuming and you can play a level here or there at your own pace. The game has a few different classes to choose from with varying weapons for each. Each class has a different level of mobility and damage. As you play with a class you can level that class up allowing you to purchase new weapons in different tiers. This adds some re- playability to the levels not only to help you level up each class, but to find weapon drops within the levels as well. Although this is not a AAA title, it definitely a great way to pass the time as you kill creatures and robots attacking the Earth.
