Farcry 4 is a lot like Farcry 3 with some new things like wingsuit and more weapons and new animals like Elephants which are awesome to ride and attack enemies and cars with. I think the PS3 version is not as good as the PS4 version though as you do not get as much car traffic and as many animals around it is still a great game on PS3 just the PS4 version would be more enjoyable. If you never heard of this series of games it is a lot like Just Cause series and Grand Theft Auto series with first person shooter view. I would recommend this game to any gamer who likes long fun games with a lot of things to do in a open world.

The Youtube posts really did the visuals in this game justice. Even for console, it is superior in it's colors, textures, and richness in the environment. The new gameplay options such as riding elephants, etc are creative and inspiring. My only problem with FC4 are the instaspawn enemies that just magically appear from nowhere and take your health to 1 bar. I'm playing on normal diff and it is becoming far too redundant - it's annoying to clear a new area and then get bulldozed by an asian rhino in an area where tapirs are. If you fast travel to a cleared outpost so you can travel to a new waypoint, as soon as you leave, the outpost gets attacked prompting you to turn around and defend it. For normal diff it is overkill and really takes away from enjoying the open world roaming experience you SHOULD be getting with a FC release. The outpost takeovers are MUCH more challenging, which is good - I haven't cleared a outpost in stealth in six tries so far. I'm glad they made the game more challenging in some respects, but the instaspawn stuff is just annoying. For hard or insane diff, I could see them incorporating some random encounters, but on normal for players just trying to enjoy the world/story, it is just a grind. I hate to see a really well developed game brought down by nonsensical randomness. They make you just have to restock your ammo/meds, and THEN continue to what you were trying to do in the first place. Overall, it is a definite improvement from FC4, but having instaspawns zeroing your health doesn't make the game more challenging, just more annoying.Read full review
