Particularly liked the instructor in this game he had a lot of charisma and I like that in people. He was full of life and made things fun! I had a good time playing this one although I would have liked a little bit more time to answer the questions I feel like there should have been a slower mode, not for SLOW people just for people who like to THINK things through before they answer. Some call it second guessing lol.

"The average person has over 4,000 thoughts per day." If you're familiar with strategy and/or puzzle games for the PSP then you'll know that the majority of games in this genre are either average (at best) or below average in terms of the overall rating. This game is different. Hot Brain is similar to Mind Quiz in that you are expected to complete quizzes or tests in order for you to progress through the game - there is no real purpose except to reach the highest "brain temperature" for each challenge or puzzle. The difference between the two is the creativity that Hot Brain presents in the form of its challenges. Hot Brain has five main skill areas: Logic, Memory, Math, Language and Concentration. Logic tests are broken down into three challenges: sequencer, shape logic and back seat driver. Back Seat Driver is the most fun. You have to determine the destination of a cab pick up or drop off based on directional arrows, but you have to do it quickly. You are always timed and you get around 20-30 seconds to complete 15-20 questions. Memory tests are broken down into Scene of the Crime, Musical Memory and Pinball Wizard challenges. In the first challenge you are required to memorize a rather detailed scene after viewing it for less than 3 seconds. In the second, you are required to memorize the order in which sounds are made and then you have to replicate the string of sounds that were made. The third is the same concept of memorizing the order in which a pinball hits 4 bumpers. Math tests are broken down into three challenges, the most notable being the cruise ship. You have to keep track of how many people get on and off of a cruise ship; if you miss even one, you fail the question. Passengers load via dock or helicopter and they board so quickly it's hard to see how many got on. It's a fun game to play. Language tests are also broken into three challenges. The two best challenges were the spelling bee and picto-rhymes. The spelling bees is just that, you have to find the incorrectly spelled words within a second or less. Picto-rhymes requires you to identify a picture and then find the corresponding rhyming word. It's extremely hard if you're not good at the specifics of English. The last skill area, concentration, is split up into Combine, Shape Up and Untangle. They're similar to each other so I'll only explain one. Combine is a game in which you have to combine two shapes together to make the requested shape. It is difficult because the two shapes are not always oriented the way they should be so you can't tell they belong together. Outside of challenges, Hot Brain has excellent graphics. They remind me of a child's CGI animated cartoon. Sound effects are dead on. You won't find any distasteful or boring music playing in the background. Hot Brain is serious about presenting a level of authenticity to its game. As with all strategy games, you don't actually have control of your character. It's more like you make choices and the game moves your point of view between the different levels of the lab. Overall, if you want to play a strategy game, especially one that rates your brain skills, you'll want to buy Hot Brain. All other games you can simply rent; Hot Brain is the only one we've found that was worth keeping. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.Read full review
This game is supposed to help keep your mind sharp and I think it does help. It's challenging without being frustrating. You can play the games you particularly like as often as you like and leave the others alone until you feel like giving them another try. There is enough variety to give everyone something to feel like a master and then you can delve into something that might not be easy for you for a challenge. You may think a game is too easy, you are so smart, and then you go up a level and think, oh, this isn't so easy and you have to start to concentrate. I like this game and so does my son. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to a friend.
Unlike a little game called PQ, this game is actually warm and very enjoyable. It has many levels and platforms. I'm into it maybe 14 hours and still a ways to go. If you like to challenge your brain with quick accurate thinking then this is it. Lots of fun! My kids, who I bought this for of course, love it as well. It might even make you feel good about yourself. Come on Hot Brain two!
This is a great game for many age levels. It is designed to get people to use their brains with brain teasers. My spouse had played it before and fell in love with it. He's a truck driver and wanted to get it for when he's on the road he's got something challenging to do. Love to find another at a reasonable price for the kids (& myself).
