OK, first off, I really liked the online version of this; it's very addicting. Racing around a kitchen making cakes in different shapes with a specific colored frosting for several different customers at a time, and then realizing that there are some customers who prefer 2-tier cakes, not to mention the cake toppers (the palm tree, teddy bear, heart). The problem is that the FULL game can't be played in the online version. Even the downloadable version is only an hour long. The DS game though is the full version. There are so many things that can be bought and upgraded. There are several different levels. The controls are very easy, too. When I first saw this on DS, I thought "There's no way they made that presentable on such a small screen, but they did. I don't know how, but they did. It looks just as good as the online game. You can even see the sprinkles in the frosting. Oh, and the whole kitchen area shows up on the screen. The screen doesn't constantly have to be moved around to see what's going on everywhere. The only con I've come across so far is that the cake stand, where you can set cakes to present them to potential buyers or either to just get them out of the way, can't be upgraded. It can't be upgraded to be 2 or 3-tier. Personally, I kinda rely on that to get me out of jams when a cake is almost finished, but the customer gets tired of waiting and leaves. I can already tell this one's gonna take me a few months to beat, though some other DS games only took maybe a week. If you're looking for a fast-paced game that makes you hold your breath for fear of losing your concentration, this is it. The only other game that I can even begin to compare it to is Tetris Attack. That is the level of fast-paced, mind-numbing thought and concentration required. I wouldn't recommend for younger minds, but for maybe 11 yrs and older. Rated E for everyoneRead full review
I got this game because I love the online version of the game and thought it would be a great change of pace from the computer version. The graphics of the game are very good and the flow of the game is simple and easy to follow. It is very addictive and can be very hard to put down when you start to play. One of the problems I had with this game is that when you are making the layered cakes sometimes it is hard to tell how many layers and which kind of cakes it consists of, but overall this issue will not greatly effect the game play. Also I did not like when you are rushing to make the cakes the size of the screen controls like the cake toppers can become an issue when you click on the wrong thing but I found that usually you can unclick the item and reclick the correct tool if you are fast enough but overall it does not ruin the game. This is a great game and can be fun for any and all ages. It will definitely keep you busy for many many hours.Read full review
Well crack kills, snowmen are hard to see in a white out, and chicken taste like chicken, funny shit. Well they said the had a game I wanted I payed of such game they mailed it to me and my wife played the game. So I dont know what I am to say so I am going to tell a joke..... Bill and Bob, two children, were sitting outside a clinic. Bill happened to be crying very loudly. "Why are you crying?" Bob asked. "I came here for a blood test," sobbed Bill. "So? Are you afraid?" "No. For the blood test, they cut my finger. As Bob heard this, he immediately began crying profusely. Astonished, Bill stopped his tears and asked Bob, "Why are you crying now?" To which Bob replied, "I came for a urine test!"
I bought this game for my 5 year old niece but my 16 year old daughter is the one who actually ended up playing it the most. She loves it and says its a lot of fun.. I guess you could say " It's a great game for all ages " :)
Great game and just like the computer game. It is a neat game of baking, decorating and delivering a cake to a client with different levels of patience. It is a very challenging, but repetious game. I enjoy playng it and find it addictive. I would like to think it helps with my real life baking, but it doesn't.
