This game is so much fun! You first start out finding each of the main characters by exploring the island. When you find them all you have 7 main characters. They are Luffy,Nami,Sanji,Zolo,Nico Robin,Ussop and Chopper. As you play through there are a ton of bosses and optional bosses that you can fight. All bosses are fought by activating a statue using OP points, which can be added to your OP by using items to increase OP. The game has some parts that are fairly hard, but once you complete it, it's a blast playing it in vs mode against a friend or family member. There are over 40 characters to unlock and there is a ranking system in vs mode where all the characters have a specific number on the bottom left of them that tells you how much power it has. the highest number of power each player can choose in the character selection is 15. So you can have like a 5+5+5 or any combination of numbers. Overall great game and no dislikes about it at all. Other games pale in comparison to this game like the naruto clash of ninja series even though they made more games of that title, this game has way more intriguing characters and moves. I give it 5/5!Read full review
One Piece: Unlimited Adventure, overall is a wonderful game. There's much to do, and a lot to talk about, but first would probably be the battles. As you travel through different dungeons, enemies will randomly spawn. To attack, you can either press the A button, shake the wiimote, or do a Jump-Attack or a Dash-Attack. Your main attacks will probably be the A button, depending on the One Piece character your playing as this might be a double of triple attack. Each attack differs for each character, they change with range, strength, and distance. As you use your attacks, they level up, which makes them more powerful, and allows you to unlock new attacks. You move with the analog stick on the nunchuck, slightly pushing it in the direction you want to go will make you walk, and pushing it all the way is running. To dash, you press the C button, twice, then hold it (Note, this decreases your SP gauge, which is used for special attacks). Jumping is used with the B button, you can also roll by pressing A & B at the same time, while walking in a direction. The graphics for the characters are great, but the scenery's could be a bit better, they are a bit repetitive. The voice acting is great, the voices really match. But the music could be a bit better, it's forget able, but fits well with the locations. Once you defeat an enemy, or boss you unlock them in Vs. Mode. Vs. Mode is where you can battle against a friend or CPU as the enemies you find in story mode, the straw hat crew, or the bosses. Development is a very fun aspect of the game, it increases the depth. Enemies drop item, and you can find some more items in the different dungeons you go through. If you take them back to the camp, you can make them into items that could be helpful to you in your travels. So, overall this is a great game, I recommend it to anyone who has patience, loves RPGs, and One Piece fans it does the Manga justice.Read full review
I'm a big fan of One Piece, and was excited to hear this game was coming out for the US mainly since it was the first OP game NOT heavily censored by the former license owners (4Kids owned OP before Funimation took over). While some parts would be confusing for those who don't follow the series over in Japan (we're far behind yet), it's a fun game and you'll find yourself replaying it over and over again for the fun of it. You control the eight memebrs of the Straw Hat Pirates, and unlock their skills by leveling up their attacks. Plus you get to collect items and then use said items to expand your inventory and build up your health and special atack power. 6 maps to explore, hidden treasures to find, and 12 bosses plus 6 hidden ones that will make you live the adventure. The sequel, Unlimited Cruise, is available in Japan, and if you wnat to help get it over to the US, buy Unlimited Adventure.Read full review
I bought this game mostly for my Son(17). He likes the anime series, books and Tv. So He asked for the game. After hours of watching him play I started playing it myself, the game is emersive and very endless seeming. Above and beyond just a fighting game, lots of puzzle solving, item finding, you get to create new tools and use them to catch fish and insects, even large lizards. You are using a team of Charactors to accomplish the goals of the game, in various environments throughout. Graphics are decent for this style of game, looks like a tv show. Controls are simple to understand and use, interactive and lots of fun. Camera views are very good, mostly third person. Over all I am very impressed with the content of the game, I would not say it is overly violent but there is a lot of fighting involved, so keep that in mind for younger children. You must defeat many enemies to get to all hidden items as well as huge Boss Battles in every area. I usually do not like single player games, but this is fun and it keeps your attention well with all the distractions and other things to do, besides the fighting. I would rate this game as a 9+ in a scale of 1-10.Read full review
I have always beaten myself up over not purchasing this game whenever I saw it at gamestop. Now that Ive got an ebay account I finally has my chance at owning my own copy! I have been a HUGE OP fan ever since Shonen Jump arrived in the States and I am very pleased with how well this game is. I especially enjoy the battle mode (which is WAY better than the battle mode in OP:Grand Adventure, by the way). I gave this game the 'good' rating because it's missing one of my favorite story arcs: Thriller Bark. I love reading that arc and this game could have been more amazing if you had to fight Oars and add the musican Brook to the Straw Hat crew! (Plus, who wouldn't want to play as a sword-wielding skeleton???) I hope that more thought is put into the next OP game..staying on the same island the entire time is kind of dull. Another setback to this game is that in order to save progress you've got to venture alllllll the way back to your 'campsite'. It would have been cool to save whenever ya wanted to..but then again..if you're a true OP fan, something minor like that shouldn't aggravate you too much. One thing I hope to see in the future is even more playable characters. Foxy the Silver Fox...Garp...Dragon...Queen Ivankov...Fleet Admiral "Buddha" Sengoku...BLACKBEARD PIRATES...Marco...The remaining Supernovas...Jimbei...Magellan...The remaining Warlords of the Sea...oh, my imagination can have lots of fun playing with that idea! But hopefully, they're all waiting in the next OP installment. All and all, this game is very satisfying and I'm only 1% complete with the story! I can't wait to play as Luffy and fight in Gear Two and Three! BUY IF YOU LOVE ONE PIECE WITH A PASSION!Read full review
