Gets the job done in a world of 3D games. I mean come on - its Raiden - It could have been a little bigger on the screen - but fells more like an arcade game in the display option. It is as hard as it ever was - but getting the stages down by doing them over and over again and finding and Hitting those sweet spots is hard. Over all I like the game - but then again this is not for everyone due to the difficulty.
If you liked Gradius on NES...you'll love this! You can even turn your TV vertically and change the options to view it more like the arcade. Pretty rad!

Love the Raiden games!! Very hard but exciting!! Much better when you have a 2nd player!! Outstanding game play!! I loved the Raiden Project that used to be on the Playstation!! Wish they would remake that one!!
This game isn't the best shmup around but it isn't bad at all. The music is awesome and the soundtrack that comes with it has some extra stuff. It isn't as beautiful and intense as the cave games but it does have a nice old school charm. Plus you can't beat the price that's for sure.
My 11 year old loves the game. It's a little like Mars Rising and Deimos Rising from 10+ years ago but this is an incredibly beefed up, modernized version. The ships and weapons are fantastic. There is a boss at the end of each level. There is even some video for a story after each chapter.
