The case meshed art is amazing, like a true Ratchet and Clank PS2 Collection! I wish fans from the Ratchet and Clank PS2 series would have gotten a boxed set like this for the four games. Despite that the box quailty is great, the disc holders are firm and practical for the slightly thicker box. The mashed art on the back is good too even though there are some technical errors on the lettering. The art inside the box is ok but my personal favorite, however this is more than i expected from a good 3rd party design.

I really like this game. I decided to buy it because it was a really good deal on eBay. Money well spent on my part. This game has all kind of things to keep you busy. You collect bolts for money and they have golden bolts hidden throughout the game. The longer you play the game and continue the story line the more you find. What keeps it interesting is that you can go back to planets that you have already visited and depending on your equipment you will find more areas that were not on the map or areas you couldn't find before. The story line envolves a robot named Clank that meets a mechanic named Ratchet. The two soon set out to save the planet and form a friendship bound. Sounds simple but the dialog between the two and in the game keep you interested. There are also some side things that you can do in the game to get the best out of your playtime. The golden bolts (which I mentioned before) are one. They are throughout the game in secret areas that you can discover as you play. What is nice about this quest is that on the universe map when you pick your planet you want to travel to, it will tell you if there are any gold bolts on the planet and how many there are. This allows you to not waste your time looking for something that is not there. The universe map also gives you a list of missions that you need to complete on that planet. There are also skill points that you can earn throughout the game. You do a number of things and earn a skill point for example killing so many creatures with only your ratchet as a weapon. The weapons you use can also be leveled up. That makes using them all the more fun. They will change names and sometimes there ability. It can be a lot of fun to just run around killing things for extra bolts and get stronger weapons in the process. Also some of the weapons abilities just make you chuckle as you use them. This game also proves to be fun for more then one time around. Once you beat the game and it is over, you don't think okay let's get rid of it and find another game to beat. You add it to your collection and it is fun the third, fifth, or tenth time you have played it. It does not get boring. This game is one of my favorites and will probably remain that way for a while.Read full review
Super Mario 64 was the game that defined 3D platforming, and more recently Super Mario Galaxy has revolutionized 3D platforming, but in between, we've enjoyed the absolutely superb Ratchet & Clank games from the fine folks at Insomniac Games. The games starred the furry, sarcastic Lombax named Ratchet and his robotic sidekick/utility pack named Clank in their multiple adventures to save the galaxy from the misdeeds of various villains (ranging from the amusing in Chairman Drek to the hilarious in Dr. Nefarious) and the humurous mistakes of the bumbling Captain Qwark. This is the game that started all of that, the game that introduced the two heroes of the series, the central bumbling villain/partner (depends on his mood, I guess) Captain Qwark, as well as the slick, polished platforming and blow-!@#$-up action hybrid gameplay that has defined the series. It's all very solid, very fun, and anyone looking for a gaming experience that won't necessarily shake up their conceptions of what's possible in gaming but will still provide a purely entertaining 10 hours of fun should most definitely check this game out. And make sure you continue to play through what is arguably one of the best game series ever.Read full review
I love this game, and I'm glad there are several more games in this series :) I still play this one quite often, and it came out 18 years ago this year. I highly recommend this one to anyone who owns a Playstation 2 :)

Very Rarely Does a Video Game Pull off Humor So Effortlessly, Yet Here We Stand With Ratchet And Clank. I Immediately Fell In Love With The Dynamic Duo, With Ratchet's Wise Cracks And Clank's Dorky Laugh, Both characters Are Written With a Unique Brand Of Comedy In Mind. Ratchet First Lays Eyes On The Robotic Clank After His Escape Pod Crashes Right Beside Ratchet As He Is Repairing His Own Ship On His Home Planet Of Veldin, After That Initial Meeting The Two Main Characters Are Almost Always At Odds. After A Few Missions our Heroes Are Introduced To The Standout Character Of The Game....Copernicus Quark, Quark Is Perhaps The Greatest Side Character I've Had The Pleasure Of Getting To Know In A Video Game. His "Me First" Mentality Would Probably Turn Most People Off But He Has This Lovable Dork Quality You Cant Ignore. The Level Design Is Fantastic With Most Levels Having A loop Around Design To Them, You Usually Go Down The Rabbit Hole Only To End Up Back at the Start Of The Level With A Nifty New Gadget For Your Trouble Ready To Take On The Main Path. The Weapon Selection Is Great As Well, Although Not Having A Strafe Ability Can Get Bothersome At Times, But I'ts By No Means A Deal Breaker. The Platforming Is Used To Great Effect, Insomniac Never Overwhelms You With it, But It Is A Welcome Break For The Gunplay. The Enviroments Are Beautifully Realized, With Every Planet Seeming More Unique Than The Last, They Seem Like They Were Pulled Straight Out Of A Disney movie, Ratchet And Clank Is a Must have For Any Fan Of The Platforming genre Or Anyone Looking For a game With Rich Characters With A Great StoryRead full review
