What an amazing game. The main complaint of this game is the controls, I fail to see the issue since it's mainly three buttons (D-pad to move, 2 to jump, 1 for gravity shift.) And there is always the option to use a GameCube controller if you have one. There are 16 tracks, two stories in story mode, free race, grand prix, survival mode, party mode, 21 characters, three character types (Speed, Power and Flight.), 61 vehicles and six vehicle types (Boards, Bikes, Skates, Wheels, Yacht and Air Ride.) All vehicles have their own gears. Gears are upgrades you receive for collecting a specific amount of rings. (Example: 40 rings to unlock rail grinding ability or 70 rings to turn your board into a bike, etc.) Each of the three characters types change how the game is played; Speed is obviously the fastest but has access to rail grinding abilities and enhancing your gravity bar. Power has the ability to punch racers and barricades to reveal short cuts and enhance bike abilities. Flight gives you access to catapults that will boost you into dash rings. Which will allow you to cut through a large majority of the track. Sonic Riders also has items that will help or harm you. You can receive rings, gravity point boost or the ability to hop off your vehicle, uses springs and find secret areas for a short time. Last but certainly not least, the soundtrack. This is one of the greatest sound tracks in the entire sonic franchise. Just look up the Astral Babylon theme to know what I'm talking about. With the beautiful environments, all the content and mind bending track secrets you can discover with the gravity powers, this game does not disappoint. This is my first Sonic Riders game and I am very interested in the series now.Read full review

The title of this review is pretty self explanatory however I do want to add more to it here. Graphics are great, the story and gameplay are compelling, and it’s overall what I expected after my experience with the original sonic riders game. However this one is difficult for novice players and even I struggled with the controls. It’s super challenging and overly competitive even in story mode. It has high expectations and would only recommend to experienced players due to the difficulty.

I really love the design of the environments and technology; it is unique and very appealing. The music and visuals often have a heavier atmosphere that you might expect. The voice overs for the characters in-game are really great and convey loads of personality. Cutscene acting isn't great, though. You can tell the gameplay directors were stronger than the cinematic directors. Speaking of that, the animations of the characters during gameplay are also very fluid and attractive, and *also* convey each character's personality very well. If you happen to be a fan of the cast of characters, the game is fun to play just for them alone. The gameplay itself is rather simplistic. It isn't incredibly strong on its own, though it's inoffensive and really only becomes boring after slightly longer sessions. Unless you wish to unlock everything or you play only sparingly, this won't generally be a problem.Read full review

This game is fun. After you get used to how to get past the first part, you can practice to get through to the next phases. It was hard for me at first. After a bit, it became much easier. I know younger kids would be able to play it right off because my 7 year-old took it and showed me how to play it. He enjoyed it, too. Worth the money paid and the seller was great. I really want to get a Mario Kart game, but I guess many others do, too. Best wishes and happy WIIING!!
Motion controlled Sonic Wii games generally work pretty well, but unfortunately can’t really say the same for Riders Zero Gravity.
