I had this game before. I bought a second one because the ps2 slim is not recognizing it. I know game is not defective, but it takes a long to start playing. Any suggestions?

Graphic's leave a lot to be desired, especially for Chess....Dice roll's for the backgammon aren't truly random, but that's typical for computer backgammon games

I decided to purchase this game as it had Mahjong as one of the twenty games from around the world. The graphics are not as defined or clear as I would expect and the game play is a little slow and stilted. This game would be more suited for younger children around ten years old. On the positive side one can play games from different countries around the world. By playing them first on this disc one could purchase more advanced versions of these games or even the actual board games later if they so desired.
I bought the Ultimate Board Game Collection for PS2 because I like Mahjong. This has many more games the whole family can play or games to play by yourself. Fun for all ages! Some of the games include Mahjong, Tic Tac Toe, Chess, Parcheesi, Puzzles, word games, snakes and ladders, and many more. I would recommend this game to a family or to play yourself.
This game is worth the $7 I paid for it. It has several classic board games that I haven't played in a while. You can choose several backgrounds and pick different music. Some of the programming needs help, however. For example, in the Battleship game, the game doesn't tell you when boats are sunk so you have to remember how many times you are hit and guess at which boat you are hitting on the enemy's side. Overall, I would definitley pick this up, but don't pay too much for it.
