Cerwin Vega HT-SMC Center Channel Speaker Replacement
I bought one of these to replace the driver in a Cerwin Vega HT-SMC Center Channel Speaker cabinet, I looked all over for a replacement 4x10 rubber/foam surround, to no avail. It has a comparable magnet structure (Albeit, not shielded). Voice coil seems to be at about 1" , like the original (Probably 25mm as, they are Made In China). I will unsolder the wires and the original spade connectors will hook right up. Additionally, I will be coating the foam surround with Mod Podge acrylic to help preserve them. Doing this might dampen the low frequencies a tad but, who cares. It is a center channel speaker.
