Now I know all flaxseed oils are not created equal. I tried a different brand of oil, that gave almost no results; but I thought that it would take a while for it to work....it never did! I was lead to try this brand, because of the longevity, and notoriety of the brand itself. [And] I must say, I noticed a decrease in flashes within a week. I have about 1.5 ounces left on my first bottle, and the flashes are few, and far between; and they are not like a consuming fire as they were. Nor am I waking up around 3am soaking wet anymore. I usually take 1 tlbs in the morning, and 1 in the evening- but it varies. Oh, the other Flax oil brand, had different ingredients also which now I realize it tasted more oily too. This is Good Stuff

I can see why several other reviewers griped about the cap being broken on their bottles -- the bottles are shipped in a thin, over-sized envelope and it is a miracle that ANY bottle arrives with a cap unbroken. Mine was okay and the oil seemed to be fresh -- no odd smell and a nice nutty taste. I've been giving the oil to a dog of mine on a daily basis, for several weeks, to try to help her dry skin and allergies, but -- although she really likes the taste -- I haven't noticed any improvement. I bought the oil primarily to season cast iron cookware, but I haven't had a chance to try that.

I bought this to season my cast iron skillets and Dutch ovens. It has worked extremely well for that. I removed the old seasoning with extreme heat and then used this Flaxseed oil to re-season it from scratch. It worked very well. Thing is, it didn't take hardly any oil to accomplish this so I have some left over. I found out that this is also a very healthy oil to use on meals. It seems to help prevent cancer and such. The rest of the oil will be used to add to meals, which is quite tasty. If you are looking for a good oil to season cast iron, this worked well for me.

I'm about halfway through this bottle and I'm hoping that this will help me with my blepharitis. I'm trying to use this more and more for its anti-inflammatory properties. I do not notice a difference at this point but it is early in the treatment. I probably will buy another bottle and double the dose. I apply it to my Foods after they're cooked and I haven't noticed any bad taste or anything like that. It seems to be decent quality but I can't really tell at this point. For the amount you get the price is okay. I'll keep trying it in to see if it works and maybe I can come back and update my opinion on the product.
