I love this percolator! I like my coffee boiled for a few minutes and after having to replace my electric coffee maker every two years, I decided to make coffee like my parents did, years ago. On the top of the stove. It doesn't really matter which coffee I use, weather it's cheap or expensive, or how it's marketed, there is never a bitter taste when using the percolator and I can warm it up the same way I made it...on the top of the stove.

The best need to be steel with a flat bottom that makes contact with the cook-top. This one does and works great.
