Works well ....
It has Gentian Violet, an old time remedy. I would advise using this with disposable rubber gloves. It will stain your hands. I take my dog outside with a damp paper towel in hand. After spraying, I dab any excess with the towel, before bringing my pet back inside. When I first received it, I wanted to check the force of the spray. I pointed it into my kitchen sink. YIKES, it was purple, and took Zud, and scrub power, to remove the stain.

Clean and blue!
When you elastrate or dock (band) your goats and sheep you want to have a reminder that you have done the job right. A shot of this to the effected area ensures that it is disinfected and dyed bright blue for a while so that you can check on them during the days after and make sure everything falls off and remains healthy as it should. There re many products but few have the built in reminder to check on your work!

I use blue kote on all of my animals. I using it now on my horses fly bites . The deer fries are terrible by us now, my horse gets big wounds from the flies and the blue covers it up and heals the wound from the flies. But put gloves on or you get blue on your fingers sometimes.
