I returned an ASUS MB to get this one. I am NOT sorry I did! This thing is fast, configurable, and has all the bells and whistles. The LED lighting is cool, digital read out for boot up and temperature, etc... Put an i7-6700 in this thing and the system screams! I bought the Turbo M.2 separately only to find out I really don't need it...yet. Prices on m.2 drives have to come down first. So unless you have a big wallet or already own an M.2 drive don't waste the $30.

CPU socket cover was not included and arrived with 3 bent pins. Still will not boot no matter what.

It's a bit gaudy with all the LEDs and the BIOs splash screen is also a big gaudy, but the feature set is excellent! Plenty of PCI-E ports and it has NVME built in.

I am a HUGE fan of MSI and I have owned other brands of the Z170 they all have been slower and bottleneck.I have the i5 6600, 16GB Ballistix RAM, an rx570 (MSI Armor) with a Samsung 60GB SSD to boot and multiple 1TB HDDs for the games and programs. For a moderately priced DIY gaming machine, this is the best Z170 gaming mobo on the market.

This was previously owned. That being said, I love this product. It was easy to setup and was up and running in less than an hour. I do recommend this board.
