I think I have owned, or at least heard, every version of this CD, including the early platinum SHM, Deluxe version, etc. and the original Capricorn LP. Naturally, this gets subjective even BEFORE you take the audio system and listening space into account…YMMV, to say the least. Anyway, to my ears the MFSL CD just nails it, both on the studio and the live material. I have gone through it with a both headphones (Sennheiser HD6XX) and stereo system (Polk Audio Reserve R-200’s. This mix provides plenty of air around cymbals, etc. and really delivers the goods when it comes to those harmony guitars and vocals. This recording lacks some of the compressed and often brittle sound of many remastering of this LP. I really don’t see how anyone could be disappointed, so long as they like the music.

Condition was mint sound quality unsurpassed any regular CD? I know CDs are old-school today. Everything is downloaded but the downloading today will never match the remastered in 24 karat gold CDs.
