I have a 2 story house and still have to tell my teenage son to turn it down! But I have to admit BOSE has such a great sound, you cannot go wrong!! We have one of these to take to the pool, neighborhood cookouts, our annual crawfish broil!! Great sound for nice background music or when you really want to crank it up...The place is "ALIVE WITH SOUND!!" We love ours!! The batteries last great on these things, ours up to 14 hours of continuous music playing, before we need to plug unit in to recharge...also recharges your iPod or iPhone at the same time!! I have been a Bose fan for years...and I am a weekend, for fun musician, took music in collage, so I feel I do know good sound when I hear it.

I own 2 units. one old, approx. 10 yrs, the other, brand new. Bought another one, while they are still available. In my opinion, this is the best portable speaker Bose made. The battery in the old unit is tired and worn, but it still plays good. Lots of accessories to choose from, carrying bag, car charger, blue tooth add-ons. Very pleased with the performance and sound.

Have another one that I still use but after lots of camping trips for the last 15 years, it was pretty beat up and the sound quality had decreased. It's great to have a "like new" one again, sounds great! You cannot beat the Bose sound quality, crisp, and the bass does not get lost in the great outdoors.
