The book starts off extremely boring and confusing. I read this for a college literature class and found myself bored out of my mind. The book starts off with chapters and chapters of first person letters of a sea captain to his sister. He picks up Dr.Frankenstein who was chasing his creation. Then it turns into a third person point of view. I found myself reading halfway through then giving up on it. Cliffsnotes.com has a great review of it. It breaks down each section and its meaning. Basically I got an A in the course from Cliffsnotes. When you finally read it you'll see what I mean. you'll find yourself rereading and rereading paragrphs to make sense of the eighteenth century literature. Not a fun read
You can tell it has been used but definitely worth the price.

This is a classic read but occasionally can be somewhat dry. The letters at the beginning are pretty boring and the first time I read the book (in high school) I wasn't even sure they were part of the book. I read the book again for a college class and enjoyed the book much more.
Great book. Depends on who's reading it, if you'd like it. Causes the reader to think. Alot. Not at all like the movies.
