I have a copy of "List Books if the Bible" published in 1926. I was so happy to find another publication of the same book! I highly recommend reading the book of Barnabus, one of the lost books included in this publication. Barnabus spoke against festivals that men "broke the commandments of God" to celebrate. His writing was included in Christian circles until the church began to bring in pagans and make their "festivals" into the church's "holy days". Barnabus writings then got discarded. He speaks, among other things, about the last days when women would kill their children before they were born.

I read this book years ago and learned somethings that are not part of the bible. Like it takes an average time of forty days to get an answer or results from God. And there is other things too.

This book is just what it says it is and worth every penny. I had to get it. I was amazed to read about young Jesus, and honestly - every page had something compelling and thought provoking. It is worth the buy and is on my prized bookshelf right next to my Holy Bible. I know most Religious scholars do not accept these ancient writings, but if for nothing other than history, it is worth the buy and read. Highly recommend.

I remember my mother reading out of the big Bible my family kept in a drawer. She read about Mary, the Apostles, Jesus and the Miracles that happened in the Old Testament and New Testament. I am glad to reread the parts that the writers of the Bible took out which depending on the person makes a impact on the daily lives of these ancestors of ours. The Bible is a Book that if read on a daily routine makes life's trials and tribulations a little less dramatic and a little more tolerable when put against what the early Christians went through just to worship the religion they chose. Which we should be very grateful to our GOD that HE let us live where we can choose what religion we want to read about and practice in our daily lives.
Needless to say, I have not finished this. It's like reading the whole Bible in just a few days. But, from what I have read, there are interesting accounts of the early days of Mary, Jesus as a newborn - speaking, no less - and people who do not appear in the modern day version of the Bible that you've never heard of before. It's a faster read than reading the King James version so you can move along rather quickly. All in all quite different from what I expected - but interesting none-the-less. It was worth ordering. In addition, there are drawings which further illustrate things that are covered in the narratives and helps you to better understand what was written.
