This is a great little speaker you can take anywhere and it sounds like a whole stereo, great highs mids and unbelievable bass, especially from such a small package!!! Haven't run out the battery since it's initial charge!!! Super easy to connect and so "User-Friendly" you don't even need the instructions!!

The speaker sound was terrible when it arrived. It was a muddled sound with very little separation. I called JBL and they were able to guide me through a reset that made a big difference in sound quality. I checked the firmware and it is up to date. At low to medium vollume it's ok. Not great but ok. At high volume it's distorted. If this was a $50-$75 speaker without the JBL name I'd be impressed with it. At $112.00 (which is a great deal considering the $179.95 msrp) I'm disappointed.

You have to get this speaker, I want another one. Sound is clear and great bass for size. Speaker can even be linked with multiple to give a surround feeling. I also checked out other speakers like Sony and Harmons, but for the size and being water proof, it’s worth every penny. Prices are going up on these, so I just bought ASAP lol!!!

The JBL Charge 4 met my needs. I needed more volume than my previous $27 Bluetooth speaker. The JBL has the base sound and volume I need. I am learning piano with some jam tracks. It really difficult to come in on time (or find where one is), when the count off is inaudible due to insufficient volume. NP with the JBL Charge 4. Note: Pairing with a MacBook Pro requires you to select the JBL in your sound output preferences. No one seems to have been able to diagnose my problem for about 3 days, including JBL help.
