I put this amp in the saddlebag on my motorcycle and used it to drive 4 MB Quart 6.5" coaxials mounted in the lids. The power and sound quality that comes out of this little amp was totally unexpected. I played 2 songs at almost full power and the amp was only slightly warm to the touch. With some EQ tweaking, the highs were crisp and clear and I was able to get some decent sounding mid bass without any distortion. The USB plug will not play music files from a smartphone or device, but it will charge your linked Bluetooth device. Let's be honest, almost everyone has a Bluetooth smartphone these days. That's just as good as any flash drive or USB stick when it comes to playing music files. I was hesitant with buying a Bluetooth only device since sound quality is my main focus, but other reviews drove me to make the purchase. The quality of this Bluetooth device is unlike any other I've ever heard. I would easily compare it to a wired USB or flash drive. The controller is very slim but manageable. I LOVE the fact that it comes with a threaded quarter turn mount on the back. This made mounting it to my handlebars very easy with a separately purchased adapter. If you have a factory radio, you can utilize the front and rear line inputs to use the amp as solely an amp. It also has a line output to daisy chain a sub amp if you so desire. The one thing I wish kenwood would have done was put some sort of preamp EQ level controls physically on the amp. Maybe the small footprint would have been sacrificed, and for that reason I understand. Since my iPhone will be my main Bluetooth device I had to rely on the preset EQ bands on the phone. My work around for this was to download an app for $2.99. I now have full EQ control over this device. Overall I would definitely recommend this unit for anyone seeking a good amount of power and sound where a conventional head unit wouldn't work. Well worth the money at $140.Read full review

I bought this for my motorcycle to control the volume from my satellite radio, I'm not using a radio. The volume control is only for the Bluetooth cell phone. If it had it's own external volume control it would be one of the best amp's on the market.

This Kenwood Amplifier packs a pretty big punch for a compact unit! The compact size makes it easy to find an out of sight mounting location behind the dash in my classic car and I have the remote control stored in the glove box for a clean non visible mount. Using this Amp as a stand alone unit, it is pushing sound through 4 - 6X9 speakers and it's crystal clear sound with plenty of volume. This Kenwood Bluetooth Amplifier is a lot of bang for your buck!

I love this on my Vulcan classic and it really pumps load over my Cobra pipes. I love the size of the amp as it fits behind my saddle bags very easily. The remote is easy to use and mount on the handle bars and the bluetooth works stellar on this product. i would give it a 5 only if it was not so pricey. I believe a price $99-$119 would be nice since this product does not come with speakers. My other units I've used can rock just as loud but come with the amp and the speakers for about my suggested price. Still a great product and Kenwood holds true to it's name brand. Thanks

Just installed this thing in my 74 Jeep CJ5. Was able to stick it up under the dash, resting on top of the glovebox. Ran a fused 10 gauge wire from the battery to the yellow wire, cutting off most of the yellow wire except maybe 8 inches. Blue wire to the radio wire coming off the under-dash fuse box. Black wire cut down as short as possible to connect to a good ground nearby. Soldered and heat shrinked all connections. I'm only using 2 channels currently, connected to a pair of Kenwood 6.5" marine speakers, but they sound great! Once I finish putting some other parts back together, I'm looking forward to taking it out and enjoying many hours of bluetoothing. Speaking of which, paring with it was simple. My only complaint with the amp is the lack of ability to adjust bass or other levels. The only adjustment seems to be the fade between front and rear channels. I suppose you might be able to to adjust those on the phone side instead if you have an app for that. The water resistant remote is a great feature, allowing me to hose the Jeep inside and out after an outing without worry.Read full review
