The package arrived fast, and the box intact. Got it out and swore it was brand new. Then noticed pretty good nick on the blade assembly. OK, so its scuffed some. Then filled it up and tried to use it. Took about 30 pulls to get it going. Then it ran OK after that. Tried to kill it and would not stop. Opened it up to find the kill wire severed inside. A factory defect of some kind? Easy enough to fix. After that, cut fine. Made quick work of the first logs. The selling point for me is this wasnt a worn cylinder and limited life span. Its pretty good once you get past the first hiccups. Far better than buying one at a pawn shop or such for same price. Just dont take yours out and assume its flawless. Check it out, there is a reason its marked down refurb. All in all I say this is a good deal if you can find the minor issues like I did.Read full review

First, the box was crushed when I got it but that was probably FedEx. A stronger box would have helped though. Second, when I opened it there was oil everywhere. I ruined a perfectly good shirt just by opening the box. They included a container of 2 cycle oil but it was already opened (the foil seal was pushed in, so obviously previously used). The oil leaked all over everything in the box. I couldn't even read the instruction manual. They didn't include chain lube oil so why include 2 cycle oil, especially when it's already opened? Third, I been running this saw off and on for over a week and every time i try using it it stall when I let off the gas. No matter how long I let it run or try to break it in it won't stay running. It is a decent chainsaw for the money if it ran right and it is what I ordered so I gave them 2 stars. I DO NOT recommend this!Read full review

The best feature of this saw (PR4218) is "Easy Pull Starting". It works so well I bought two and fitted one with a 14" bar for trim work the other is for felling larger trees. Easy start saves me lots of time and effort-its a great saw.

Opened the box and thought the saw was new. It was only on closer inspection that I saw a few scuff marks that had been polished over in the remanufacturing process. Put the bar and chain on as per the instruction, gas and oil, and it fired up on the third pull. Runs great. My last saw was one of the best saws made by Echo, so I'm pretty well spoiled, but so far I'm happy with this one. I would recommend it to anyone for light, around the house, clean up, trimming, and small to medium tree falling.
