In all my years as a guitarist, I've never found a beginner's book easier than this! Hal Leonard helps you ease into all the essentials that every guitarist should know, as well as advanced stuff that's good to brush up on! It's also super helpful to practice with the MP3 practice tracks!

Using this product to cross off another item from my bucket List was an excellent idea. It is easy to use and it reminds me of the music books I used in school to learn to play musical instruments. Its easy to follow and of course you are able to learn at your own pace. the book and dvd is an excellent training tool. I highly reccommend this product.

It is a good product. I was dis appointed that it had so much writing in it. It had the CD's that are out of print. They were in good shape.

This is basically the book I stared out with, more decades ago than I care to say. I will say CDs were not around. My daughter wanted this as it was her first guitar book also and she has decided to restart. So I bought it for her. I am sure there have been changes (?) but it appears to be the same book that most/all guitar teachers start with. It does the trick. If your starting out, or want to learn to play by reading music, this is a great beginners book. Dare I say, The Book for learning guitar. Also the price was the best available.

If you don't have Internet try to find a CDs included version and ask the vendor specifically if that's what they have. If so, you'll need a multitrack CD player. New boom boxes at the box stores only play maybe 5 tracks. Each of the 3 CDs has 50+ tracks. A large CD/receiver may do the job.
