This book of exercises was recommended to me by a Berklee teacher recently, and I now recall using it at the advice of my piano teacher when I was 14. Very well thought out and designed to build strength so you can play evenly, with control and speed, using all 10 fingers, but without crippling them with crazy stunts like those spring-loaded hand contraptions (don't use those). This book has been around so long the content must be out of copyright but it will never lose its relevance. The upside of it being so old is, like Bach or Chopin, as long as the cover is plain and simple, the content stays fantastic and the price stays low. There aren't songs in this book. It's a book of exercises. Use it as a *part* of your practice time. Every pianist needs Hanon in their canon. Or cannon.

After having been away from the piano for many years, these exercises are quickly helping me regain the "feeling" of the keyboard. My coordination and eye/hand communication are improving as well.

In good condition, this collection of exercises is a common practice book, recommended by many piano teachers. I’m way out of practice, so I needed to get it, and some others.

Quality not bad for the price. It also arrived earlier than the date set. (I wish it had the arpegios that my old one had, but I didn't remember the exact publication name, so this will do)

This Hanon piano exercise book has books 1-3 compiled in it. So my daughter's piano teacher is happy with it!
