This is a compact but powerful little Canon. Body contours allow for great grip. Nice image stabilization and ISO setting allows for crisper pics in less light without using the flash. Other features include video and sound.

This is one of the last elph cameras with an optical zooming viewfinder. In bright sunlight, the viewfinder is a real help. No washed out view screens. The picture quality is very good and it easily fits in a shirt pocket.

I bought the camera for my daughter for Christmas because this is the type of camera she requested and she simply loves it! It has special features. If she wants a black and white picture but leave a certain item colored in that picture, she can. If she wants to make everything in the picture that is originally red to blue, she can. This camera is small and fits into purse or pocket nicely. The screen is super big on it and makes it nice to view the pictures. I would highly recommend this camera! For the price, it has so many options. We both are very pleased with my purchase.
We've owned and used numerous Canon and Nikon cameras over the past 40 years. We bought the first SD770IS without much research as our previous point and shoot camera was lost on a beach somewhere in Hawaii. We bought several ELPH Canon cameras since but keep going back to this one. It is, without a doubt, my wife's favorite camera. Easy to use, holds a charge, great photos and just the right size. I also like that it has a view finder which I still prefer over the digital screen. We've since bought larger, smaller, sleeker, and smarter cameras but none that does a better all around job than this Caonon SD770IS. We own two of these now so we each can carry one with us.
This is my second Canon SD770. It is very rugged and easy to pack. One of the best features is the viewfinder which comes in handy in bright light conditions and also allows for steadier holding when using longer exposures than trying to use the viewer screen.
