This may have the potential to be a good unit, but what I have here is absolutely NO power,I just set mine up,screwed it to bench, put 1 grinding stone and 1 wire wheel,it is impossible to grind anything, and to wire buff something you have to touch it gently and keep pulling away so as not to stop the machine.Buy the porter cable,it works.this is an entire waist of my money.I had to give it a star just to submit this,it does not rate because it is UNUSABLE.

Three big gripes on this. The optics in the eye shields are very, very poor. I took them off. They are worthless in my opinion. Also the fine wheel has a chunk out of it making part of the grinding surface unusable. It vibrates my whole workbench too. Stuff moves around on the top when it's on. I have a one horsepower (3X as powerful) grinder on there too, and it doesn't do that at all.

The motor should have four inch wheels not 6 inch wheels it takes a long time to spool up to working RPM, I took mine and put four inch wire wheels on both sides and it does what I needed to do but as for the wheels that came on it it seemed to be underpowered

1/3 hp is no motor to put on a 6” grinder.... It should be 1/2 hp or more.... Would never buy this for a shop grinder
