Very nice quality made classic Snap-On ratchet, made probably sometime in the early to mid 1970's, (this one has no date code stamping). I did notice while doing maintenance that on this particular ratchet, that the right side screw hole was manufactured slightly off and not in line with the screw hole on the retaining cover plate. This of course causes the screw to not line up and therefore strips the threads on the screw. Not a big deal though as the screw still tightens up just fine, but it's definitely a manufacturing defect by Snap-On. But I doubt all F710D's were made this way, and like I said it's not a big deal. These are still professional grade tools even with that defect. The modern day repair kit for the F710D rats is the RKRA38ALS kit and are in abundance yet even to this day. The tooth count on these cannot be upgraded any higher, as the gear and pawl cradle bores are slightly smaller, so they cannot accept the larger 30 tooth gear with the two tooth per side engagement pawl. So 20 tooth is as fine as these guys can be. But it's still nice that these use the partial sealing head cap! It is afterall a collectible classic Snap-On quality tool, and made in the USA! 🇺🇸👍Read full review
