Do NOT buy one of these
This device has been discontinued by the manufacturer for good reason. The app is available for Apple but not for Android phones and tablets. The device connects via Bluetooth fine the first time before the app tells you a firmware update is required. When that update has been completed, the device will no longer connect via Bluetooth. In fact, the name of the device changes in that the last four digits of the serial number are truncated. Bosch Automotive could offer me no assistance. This scenario occurred with two of these devices in the same exact manner. I now have two bricked scanners that cannot be used, whatsoever. If you really want one, go ahead and try it yourself but I believe you'll see the same thing occur as I did two times with two devices.This device has been discontinued by the manufacturer for good reason. The apps are a pain to use
There is nothing wrong with the product itself but the apps are difficult to us. If you are a car dealer that uses it every day & many times a day every time you plug it into a car you have to go through the process of connecting it to your blue tooth setting every time. Too time-consuming to use as a car dealer.

Only issue is with android you have to touch it with the phone while connecting iphone didnt have to do that, other than that does exactly what it says and what i needed it to do

Fit problem on some cars.
This unit worked fine on my 2003 Porsche 996. When I tried it on my 2006 997 it wouldn't go in all the way. Reading on Rennlist I discover that the unit has a "locking tab" that interferes with proper seating of the unit into the auto outlet. This unit should be redesigned.
