This is a great ratchet. Light weight, low profile, reasonable tooth count, smooth finish and feels good in the hand when used. It has a well balanced feel to it, almost making it feel lighter than it actually is. It is also serviceable, which not all of the new Craftsman ratchets are. Cosmetically it is ok at best, but it is a tool and since I have no plans on waxing it, the shine on the chrome is of no concern to me as long as it is there. For a total price of approx US$20 I believe it is a substantial upgrade from the old style Craftsman RP 36 tooth ratchet. It competes well with the Craftsman Thin Profile Ratchet and about half the cost. the quick release button is flush with the head and the height of the reverse lever is reduced slightly with it being in a recessed portion of the head. If you are looking for a standard 3/8 ratchet, I do not see how you can go wrong with this one.Read full review
