makes turning the crankshaft easy. no more monkey wrench! also great for mounting the degree wheel. the front knurled collar spins off and on to allow the degree wheel.

Broke first use
This crank socket is made of aluminum and is cheaper put together. First use one of the roll pins fell out and the other stripped right off making it unusable. I ended up having to re-alingn the drive portion with the snout part and re-drilling a hole all the way through it and putting a bolt in to keep it from just spinning or slipping, it is a 2 piece design. Advice, save your money and buy a name brand or a good steel unit.This crank socket is made of aluminum and is cheaper put together. Socket will turn crank
I have used another brand socket on a big block and got much better results checking cam degrees. This one has movement between the two pieces pinned together. If you need accuracy and want the degree wheel to travel with the crankshaft spend the extra money, if not this one's ok.
