Exceeds Expectations
I bought this expecting it to be a gag keychain, functional but not something I would ever really use or need to use. But when I tell you the build quality far exceeds expectations I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. The swivel head is solid, it holds its position, even with movement and slight bumps. The gearing in the ratcheting mechanism is extremely fine, perfect for a tiny spot without much movement. All in all I’m really impressed for receiving a solid weighted functional tool instead of the gag gift I was expecting. You won’t be disappointed
Tone tools are extremely well-made, high-quality Japanese tools. This may be a keychain, but it’s build quality goes beyond what you’d normally expect out of one. It’s got a good heavy weight to it for its size, the head pivots precisely and stays in place, and the teeth/ratcheting mechanism are fine yet strong and feel super solid. HKS is an awesome company and when you hold one of these you’ll see why they chose Tone to collaborate with on this.
