This helicoil kit is good quality and well designed at a good price.
First used this kit to repair damaged thread in a torque converter mounting pad. Had no issues with the tap and the installing tool worked very well, making it very easy to wind the repair coil to the exact depth needed to have a perfect 100% threaded mounting tab. I used a moto tool with a cutoff disc to trim the excess coil, while spreading the coil with a very small screwdriver.

Although difficult because of my accessibility problem the result was successful.
My holes were difficult to access and I ruined two coils before I learned the best way to hold the insertion tool. My project isn't the normal accessible project.
