The best.
This compound,used with the proper Meguiars foam cutting pad will produce a finish free of sand scratches left by 2000 grit,and will be all you really need if a 2000,4000,8000 grit step process is used.I do continue with a finer polish and pad for customers.This does not seem to have an additive to make the finish appear better than it is,which will later dull.I really hate that.

Oxidized paint? -this is the stuff you want!
I have been using Meguiar,s Diamond cut 85 for many many years. I am by no means a professional body shop, Im a do it yourself-er. This product has NO additives which FOOL you as to the finish when it is done,other variants of this item have additives which make the polish job look great for a few hours or a day,then the imperfections come back. I have "clayed" a few cars and since I used this polish had never looked back. I am happy with one-good-polishing with this stuff,minimal swirls,if there are I use a finish polish and wax. As it is I polish by hand,not machine and never need to finish polish,just a final waxing. Seems the aggregate in this polish breaks down the more you rub ending with a very nice polished surface,thats what it feels like anyway. I use this polish on ...
