Very simple tool and nearly indispensable
I tried using other methods to install the seal and ended up ruining seal. Fortunately I bought 2 extra seals. What started the problem was a mechanic that installed it originally and destroyed the seal by forcing it over the shaft and rolling the seal lip under and tearing it. This little tool is the best way to go. Hopefully I'll never have to replace seal again. It's so much work to get to it. HIGHLY recommend this tool! Needed for LTx water pump drive seal installation.
This seemed to work well when I installed my timing cover which has the water pump drive seal. This prevents the seal lip from inverting during seal installation.

Did not fit flush, had to drill hole bigger to fit flush. Then it worked as advertised. Builder needs better Quality check of product.
