The repair Kit was better engineered better than orginal that was made during WW2 as had more contact teeth then orginal so works much better. All parts didnt work but the essential parts in kit got the wrench operating. cons: Price was very High and could have bought another wrench for less money same brand but felt that would be taking a chance so stayed with the one I brought to the Dance!!

The parts in this rebuild kit were not machined correctly. They were oversized and would not let the ratchet cover be tightened down properly. Yes, I assembled it properly. Just to verify my claim, I reassembled the ratchet using the old parts and it worked fine. These were definitely a "Knock Off" part and very poorly made.

Direct replacement and fitment for the described ratchet models provided with kit pack. Parts are of legendary Snap-On excellent quality. Though the spring that is supplied with this kit is definitely alittle too long to use. It is made with a very heavy guage wire, when combined with the length, makes the ratcheting action way to harsh and creates tons of back drag! I trimmed off 3 coils so that the bottom of the plunger comes just past the top of the spring hole. That solves the problem and does the trick every time. Picture of kit pack spring (left) and shortened using spring (right). You can always use your original factory spring with ball bearing instead, if the spring isn't worn out.

After over 25 years I am surprised to find replacement parts for my ratchet. The tooth count is a bit finer than 32, but that's great. My Snap-on ratchet is as good as new and ready for another 25 years.
