At first it appeared to be the wrong seal because the shaft diameter was larger than the hole in the seal. Vendor assured me that it was the correct seal. Upon dimantling the ram it turned out to be the correct seal as stated. I had to sand down the felt washer in order for the snap ring to install over the shaft. The washer was original and perhaps too hard to collapse enabling the snap ring. Ram appears to be working correctly now. Thanks for the support.
