Best 1.5 amp charger on the market.
These newer electronic ones are awesome. I've purchased a few. Biggest positive is that they will not drain the battery if there is a power failure. Some will do just that. If you hook it up and the lights are on when the power cord is not plugged in, you are draining your battery. If you are leaving the charger as a maintainer and battery unattended for months at a time, it will make a difference. The other thing I like is that it will start charging or maintaining as soon as the power comes back on. I don't have to be there to push a start button. The battery in my tractor is 10 years old and still starts the tractor in the winter. I also like that it can be used on my 6 volt jeep and I don't have to do anything, just hook it up.These newer electronic ones are awesome. I've purchased a few. The trickle charger works well on my harley and my scooter,and riding lawn mower just plug it in and connect for 24hrs and battery is charged,I do this once a week or every other week

Schumacher quality control now = ZERO
I have purchased these charger/maintainers through different vendors, (all new items) and their failure rate is incredible; so much so that I will never purchase another Schumacher product again. Ive since switched to Deltran chargers and hope for the best; at least Deltrans warranty is 5 years. Schumacher would NOT stand behind their products when I asked for a replacement for failed/defective units less than a year old. I have one of their an old large metal body chargers which is 25 years old and still working., so I guess the new made in China stuff is junk...shocking? NO! I have purchased these charger/maintainers through different vendors, (all new items) and their failure rate is incredible; so much so that I will never purchase another Schumacher product again.
