Looks like they thought they listed it too low, because it sold right away, so they refunded me and listed it higher. What I consider bad business, is what that is. Many do not feel they need to honor their listings. On top of that, they made no contact with me whatsoever about this. Hope I never make the mistake of buying from them again. I won't if they'll put me on the blocked buyer list! NOT COOL!

we didn't think it might be priced too low. it was a keyboard typing error and was listed a 1/2 it's value. You are just upset that the improper amount was caught. you were informed it would not be sold.

An awesome 30-tooth ratchet from the the good old days...

The F830 ratchet is probably one of Snap On's best designs in recent memory. Late 90s and early 2000s, this is what you probably lusted for. The build quality is one of the best they have ever produced, and I would say it is easily the most robust 3/8" ratchet in my box. Tight tolerances, forged handle, positive direction selector, very little back drag, well balanced in the hand and fully sealed, this ratchet is just about everything you could have wanted for at the time. Yes, it's only a 30-tooth mechanism, and that is considered "coarse" among purists and fine tooth fanbois, but what many people overlook is the minimal head size on this thing. The newer models like the F936 and even newer F80 both have a noticeably larger ratchet head, so they simply won't in as many places as the old ...

  • Snap-On F830 ratchet

I have noticed a couple of minor differences between older and newer F830's. The older early 1990's have a recessed selector cutout and peened on selector, similar to the older previous Snap-On ratchet models. Every F830 use a standard 30 tooth gear with a two tooth per side engagement pawl. And on top of that they were the first ever (to my knowledge) modern ratchet model next to the SPP403 to offer a completely sealed head by means of O-ring seals. They would be the start to the "completely sealed ratchet head craze" and a greatly improved ratchet design, turning the war on dirts devastating effects to the internal ratchet mechanism! Not only would dirt stay on the outside, but also grease or oil would also be kept on the inside! The gear's center cradle bore would also be retained as ...

  • I'm really tired of rating products. Why can't we just make a purchase and be done with it? I don't get compensate for my time

Snap On products are the best hand tools on the market. They also hold their value more than any other brand.
