Well it's a Snap-on and if you don't know what that means then you probably should not buy one. but go to a garage where they repair cars and stuff and look to see what kind of tools they have and when you notice they are mostly Snap-on's then you'll know something about tools. snap on gives you a new tool, with no questions asked, if your old tool broke, or got damaged. how can they do that and still stay in business? simple, they charge a heck of a lot for each tool. but the tools are always made very well, and i doubt there are any better ones in the world. i have the 1/4 titling head ratchet driver. i've had it for decades. i've used it a lot too. so i finally wanted to get a real snap-on socket to go with it. just to see if it was better than the craftsmen or generic ones i've got. it was a better and it fit better. so the age old question is it worth it to go snap on? the answer really depends on whether you are going to use your snap on tools a lot, and in what sort of work load and how rich you are. if i was a millionaire, i would buy a whole set. just to say i have snap on tools. but regrettably i'm not. so i have to figure do i need a great tool, or can i get by with a piece of junk. pieces of junk will break on you and your hands can get cut up, or broken, and that means you're out of work for a while. that's money that you lost because you did not invest in snap on tools. can a snap on break? yes. but not as often as the others. and the snap on truck will deliver, probably the same day, a new tool without charging you. so you are paying for things that might not be obvious at first. on the other hand you might not be rich. again snap on offers monthly payments for sets. so if you are a mechanic, you can get set up the first day. still those payments are a bit steep, so you have to weigh your choices carefully. maybe some tools that you don't use a lot, that you don't care if they break, you can use junk. i'm glad i have my snap on. it's my go to tool every time. and the shape and feel of it is just amazing, better than any other tool.
