I've used half a dozen expensive brands from TW ICE to Meguiars to Chemical Guys to Mother's to Griot's and the longest lasting wax that provided the most dirt & water shedding ability while also leaving a deep color glass like shine is Turtle Waxs ICE Wax Paste as #1 followed by Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax as #2. These synthetic waxes last way longer than Carnuba waxes and I can honestly say if you apply this was at least 2x or 3x/yr your car will look great, clean up easy and all rubbers & plastics will also benefit from it's UV protection since these waxes can be put on everything. I use this on my head & tail lights and I never have to worry about them yellowing since this stuff will keep them crystal. Highly recommend for anything that needs a coat of wax and the best part is this stuff isn't super expensive but downside is it only is 8oz but that will still get most people 1-3yrs worth of wax jobs.Read full review

I have a 2016 Soul Red CX-5 and have used several brands of wax to keep my car looking great. They all look good but Turtle Wax Ice Paste Wax is the best by far! It's the only wax I've tried which adds depth and actually makes the paint look wet. I've done a lot of research on various waxes and watched hundreds of videos online. Ice PASTE wax is longer lasting than the liquid. Follow the directions and don't wipe it off too soon. I've found that it takes between 5-20 minutes to properly bond to the clear coat (20 minutes in a cool garage). After applying a very thin coat and waiting for the haze (which is challenging to see because the paste goes on almost clear), swipe a clean, dry finger on a spot and if it smears, it's not ready to come off. Once a finger swipe cleans the area without a smear, SLOWLY wipe off the wax using a micro fiber towel and frequently turn over the towel. Then, with a new micro fiber towel, buff the area and you won't believe the shine you'll get. I waited 12 hours to ensure the wax cured and applied a second thin coat. It's amazing how well the paint looks...deep, rich, glossy, and wet! I've spent a lot more money for other waxes but never got the shine this one gives. Make sure your paint is smooth. My car is new so I didn't need to use a clay bar since I waxed it the day I purchased it and every 2-3 weeks since. I'll admit that I probably wax my car more than I need to, but I live in the mountains off a gravel road and my car is covered with dust 5 minutes after I leave the house. PROS: Unmatched depth and shine, easy to apply, very reasonable cost. CONS: There really aren't any but I've heard people complain about difficulty in removing the wax and I can only assume they either didn't let it cure for 5-20 minutes or left the wax on way too long. Use the finger swipe test. I can't attest to the durability yet, but it has been rated as the most durable by a reputable consumer agency so I fully expect it will outlast most waxes. Try it...you'll love it!Read full review

If you're looking for a quick, easy wax job, this isn't the product for you. If you don't mind spending some time and elbow grease to get an EXCELLENT wax job, this is for you. It is a true PASTE wax. Reminds me of the Johnson Floor Wax product. The applicator that comes with it is pretty much useless, too small and doesn't last very long. Get a regular wax applicator pad for this product. It also needs moisture to soften it up so the extra water the regular applicator can hold helps. You'll most likely have to add more water as you go along. If you have a large vehicle don't apply the wax to the entire vehicle at once and then buff the whole thing. That is, unless you have a power buffer. Take my word for it, if you try to buff the entire car out at once by hand you'll be pooped when you get done. This is in no way meant to be a negative assessment of this product. Just make sure you know that this is not a 15 minute wax job product. My car looks great but it took time and energy to get it that way with this product.Read full review

Turtle Wax Ice paste is the best car wax money can buy! Dresses plastic and rubber, cleans, and leaves a polymer coat. Wax in shade or sun, hot or cold. Easy on, super easy off. I have no idea why it was discontinued.
