    hidden treasure

    Turns out, after a cleaning of the hardened grease or whatever it was, this ratchet shows next to no evidence of being used at all. The substance in the tool looked a lot like the Cosmoline used to keep military arms protected from the elements while in storage. Looks like grease when new but over years and years, it turns to a hardened waxy mess. Once removed it revealed an almost new vintage Craftsman ratchet.
