Does exactly as needed - indicates if voltage is being sent to the spark plug
I don't understand how it can be made so cheaply and sent to me but with this I was able to verify with certainty that the car not running on all cylinders because of no spark on one cylinder... and not a problem with the fuel injector. The only possible drawback with this particular model is that the female end that goes on the spark plug is fairly short and so I had difficulty getting it to attach properly to the plugs which are down a hole perhaps 15cm/6" deep from the top of the valve cover. Having proven it was a [lack of] ignition issue, I was then able to swap the wires and verify the problem occurred on the same cylinder proving that the spark plug wires were OK and thus the ignition coil was almost certainly at fault. Handy tester
Had a Stihl trimmer that wouldn't start, this tester showed that it wasn't a carburetor or fuel problem but a no spark ignition problem. Replaced the ignition coil module and trimmer runs great again.
