I did install this water temp, sending unit and wire harness it did not work it only showed the temp when the key was turned to accessory  I needed to get the car going and could not wait I purchased a OME sending and made my own wire harness and it worked great sorry for the confusion

Replaced existing sensor which was causing temp to fluctuate on guage and throwing a service engine soon light. Upon replacement, service engine soon light was extinguished and I believe the truck is even running better with the proper temperature reading
