    Further notes on this rack and pinion steering conversion for tri-five Chevy

    This is an excellent product. It is a well thought out kit. I wish they had a 3/4 DD end on the output shaft, but the 3/4 round is usable. In my case, I needed the other side to be 1" DD, and the kit comes in 3/4 round...but there is no way they could guess everybody's needs. I have not installed the pump. I have a big block and it is for a small block. but I'm sure I can fix all those things. I did not see a kit for sale with big block stuff. You will need to watch your oil pan clearance. I have the Moroso notched pan for a tri-5 that helps with this issue. You have the same clearance problems with the stock steering. Still, a great product for the money...minor clearance issue on the steering arms...again, I'm using an aftermarket 2" dropped spindle. After finishing the ...
